Terms & Conditions for Event Participation

These Terms and Conditions, as may be amended from time to time, apply to all our services directly or indirectly (through distributors) made available online, through any mobile device by email or by telephone. By accessing, browsing and using our (mobile) website or any of our applications through the platform (hereafter collectively referred to as the “website”) and/or by registering for the Event, you acknowledge and agree to have read, understood and agreed to the Terms and Conditions set out below (including the privacy statement).

1. General


1.1  Pink Ribbon Walk 2019 is organised by Breast Cancer Foundation and is referred to collectively as “The Organiser” in accordance with the Pink Ribbon Walk 2019’s Terms and Conditions.

1.2  The Organiser reserves the right to use any photograph, motion picture, recording, or any other record of this Event and its participants for any legitimate purpose, including commercial advertising and future publicity for the Event.

1.3  The Organiser reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions without prior notification.

1.4  The Organiser reserves the right to cancel or postpone the Event without prior notification, in which case, the fees are non-refundable.

1.5  The Organiser’s decision is final and The Organiser (and/or any of its officers and employees) is hereby irrevocably released from all or any liabilities and NO further/other claims against The Organiser (and/or any of its officers and employees) arising out of the Agreement.

1.6  By registering for the Event, participants are deemed to have agreed to the following:

  • Providing true, accurate, current and complete information about the Participant contained in the registration form (the "Registration Data"); and (ii) maintain and promptly update the Registration Data to keep it true, accurate, current and complete.

  • Participants(s) are deemed to have given their consent to their information being collected and used for the purpose of organising Pink Ribbon Walk and for such use as permitted under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012.

  • Receiving information from The Organiser about related promotions and Event updates via SMS and Email.

  • The Organiser reserves the right to disclose the personal data of participants without consent, that is necessary to respond to an emergency that threatens, among other things, their health.

  • The Organiser reserves the right to disclose the personal data of participants that is necessary to be given tax deductions on donations.

  • The Organiser has made reasonable security arrangements to prevent unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risks of the personal data collected.

2. Registration

2.1  Participants below 18 years of age need to seek parental or guardian consent and fill in the relevant indemnity form before participating in the Event. Failing which, The Organiser reserves the right to refuse registration to the participant.


2.2  All registrations will be done online at

2.3  Registration deadline is on 16 Sept 2019, 11.59pm. No registration will be accepted on Event day of Pink Ribbon Walk 2019.

2.4  A registration fee will be charged per participant. Please refer to price table for each category.

2.5  A confirmation slip may be sent to the participant’s email address after the registration is successfully completed.

2.6  The registration will only be completed when full payment is made.

2.7  Each participant may only participate in a one category.

2.8  Upon successful registration, participants are not allowed to change the category that they have registered for and registration entry is not transferable.

2.9  To ensure that the participants’ race details are correct, they may check and update their  personal particulars before registration closes. Please note that only changes to personal particulars will be accepted.

2.10  The Organiser reserves the right to close registration before the official closing date should participation reach its maximum capacity.

2.11  The Organiser will not be responsible for any dispute arising from incomplete or incorrect information submitted by participants.

2.12  Completion of the online entry form confirms the participant’s agreement to abide by the Terms and Conditions of Pink Ribbon Walk 2019.

2.13  The Organiser reserves the right to limit and refuse entries.

3. Cancellation

3.1  Once the registration has been duly processed, there shall be no fee refund for participants who do not eventually take part for any reasons whatsoever.

3.2  Upon successful registration, participants are not allowed to change the category that they have registered for and registration entry is not transferable.

4. Race Entry Pack Collection

4.1  All registered participants are required to collect their race packs during the race pack collection period from 28 to 29 September 2019, at Kallang Leisure Park Atrium, from 11am to 7pm.

4.2  For race pack collection, all participants are required to produce their Confirmation Slips and/or identification cards for verification purposes. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse collection by participants who do not present the required documents.

4.3  If participants are unable to collect their race packs in person, they may authorise a representative to collect on their behalf. The following documents must be presented when the representative is collecting the race pack:

  • Race pack collection authorisation form

  • Participant’s confirmation slip

  • Photocopy of participant’s NRIC

  • Photocopy of representative’s NRIC

4.4  Size of T-shirt is subject to availability. No exchange of T-shirt will be allowed.

5. Race Day

5.1  There are two (2) categories – 3.5KM Walk and 5KM Fun Run.

5.2  The Organiser reserves the right to remove any unattended bags at the Event premises for security reasons and will not be responsible for any losses and/or damages to the belongings. The Organiser also reserves the right to check any item or baggage deposited.

5.3  Only registered participants for the respective categories are allowed access to the Start Point.

5.4  Runners must wear their assigned participant bibs on the front of their running attire near their chest area at all times during the race. Participants not wearing their assigned participant bibs will be asked to leave the course by Event officials and may result in disqualification.

5.5  Participants who commence before the actual start time of the race category for which they registered for will be disqualified.

5.6  All participants are required to report at the Start Point at least 30 minutes prior to flag-off time.

5.7  A grace period of 15 minutes after the commencement of the walk/run will be given for latecomers. Any participant who reports later than this grace period will not be allowed to participate in the walk/run.

5.8  All participants who successfully complete the 5KM Fun Run will be awarded a Finisher’s Medal, with the participant’s bib as proof of participation.

5.9  All participants must only wear their assigned participant bib. Transfer of participant bib is strictly not allowed.

6. Safety & Medical Advisory

6.1  While every reasonable precaution will be taken by The Organiser to ensure participants’ safety, participants are advised to exercise due care and The Organiser shall not be liable for any loss and/or damage, whether personal or otherwise, and howsoever arising.

6.2  Due to safety reasons, bicycles, in-line skates, push carts, shoes with built-in or attached rollers and any other wheel-run objects are strictly not allowed on the course other than official race and medical vehicles.

6.3  The Organiser reserves the right to stop any participant from continuing the race for safety reasons.

6.4  Should any participant feel unwell in the course of the race, he/she should stop and seek immediate medical attention at the designated medical posts.

6.5  A participant must retire from the race immediately if requested by any member of the official medical staff.

6.6  Participants should prepare themselves adequately over several weeks before the Event by gradually increase the duration and intensity of their training.

6.7  Participants should ensure that they are well-rested and well-hydrated prior to the run.

6.8  Participants are advised not to attend the Event should they have fever, cough, breathing difficulties or severe muscle ache.

6.9  Participants who have doubts about their suitability to participate in this Event (e.g. those on medication or those who have had recent health conditions) are advised to consult their medical practitioner prior to participation in the Event.

6.10  To minimise injuries, always do at least 15 minutes of warm-up/stretching before the start and at the end of training and the walk/run.

6.11  Participants are advised against the consumption of alcohol or stimulants or any kind of drugs before the race.

1.  I fully understand and acknowledge the risks involved in my participation in the Event and I accept full responsibility and assume all such risks.

2.  I hereby represent, warrant and undertake to The Organisers the following with full knowledge that they shall be relied upon by The Organisers in accepting my registration: -

  • My personal particulars disclosed in the registration form are accurate, full and complete;

  • I do not have any medical condition that would affect my safety or physical well-being.

  • I am medically and physically fit and competent to participate in the Event; and

  • I shall dutifully and fully abide by these Rules and Regulations and any applicable laws.

3.  I confirm that the representations, warranties and undertakings herein are true and accurate.

4.  I (including my heirs, successors and assigns) undertake not to make any claims or lodge any complaints whatsoever against The Organisers, Sponsors or officials of the Event for any injury, death or loss/damage to property sustained during the Event/disputes over any matter in relation to the Event.

5.  I (including my heirs, successors and assigns) agree to hold The Organisers, Sponsors, appointed officials/suppliers (each an “Indemnified Party”) harmless and keep each Indemnified Party fully and effectively indemnified from and against any and all losses, costs (including legal costs on a full indemnity basis), claims, damage and expenses whatsoever which any of them may incur (directly or indirectly) as a result of my breach of any of these Terms and Conditions.

6.  These Terms and Conditions shall be governed under Singapore laws and I agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts. I have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

7. I am agreeable to The Organiser's or its appointed vendor to sms or email me on any service related updates with regard to this Event purpose only.
